Host The Perfect Harvest Brunch With Preserved Flowers

Brunch table setting with single preserved roses as place settings

The month of October is harvest season - the beginning of the season of holidays. The season is kicked off by Halloween, which quickly leads into Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas, and ends with New Year’s Eve. In the middle of planning family meals, buying holiday and hostess gifts, decorating, and hopping from event to event, we sometimes lose the opportunity to really seize and enjoy the moment and celebrate with close friends. Before the crazy kicks in, why not kick off this season by getting your friends together with a fall brunch? Once you have the menu finalized, you can focus on decor.

Lucky for you, we’ve made it easy! Here are some simple suggestions to deck out your home for the perfect autumn harvest brunch.

Create The Fall Vibe In Your Home

Make your guests feel welcome and in-theme by creating a fall atmosphere. Decorate with simple items like gourds, pumpkins, small cornucopias, leaf garland, and of course preserved flowers!

Decorating with colors like red, yellow, and orange brings warm tones into your house, which is especially important if your home is cool toned (grey, white, blue, etc.). You can use bouquets of various sizes to bring just the right amount of fall color into a room. When choosing arrangements, keep in mind both the size of the room and the size of the surface the arrangements will sit on. Small Square arrangements make wonderful displays in powder rooms and on sofa end tables. For large entryways or dining tables in large rooms, consider arrangements like the Large Square or Large Circle.  For more inspiration, read our blog on decorating your home for fall.

Preserved Roses Make Perfect Centerpieces

Whether your gathering is large or small, you’ll find that preserved flower arrangements make the perfect centerpieces. Not only are they beautiful and bright, but they also make great conversation pieces for guests who may not know each other well. For intimate gatherings with 12 guests or fewer, you may consider hosting all guests at one table. If you have a long table, three arrangements from our Small Square collection make lovely additions to the table, breaking up the long space and creating a focal point for each small group of people. For a larger square or round table, a preserved arrangement from our Large Circle or Large Square collections make a stunning impact.

After brunch is over, your centerpieces can be given to guests or repurposed to add even more color around your home.

Preserved Flower Party Favors

Looking for the perfect guest favor? Preserved flowers from our Small Square collection, Small Round collection or Single Acrylic collections are thoughtful gifts that will leave a lasting impression until next year's harvest brunch! As an alternative to table centerpieces, you can set one of these flowers at each place setting, adding a pop of color to the table. Once again, choose warm colors like red, orange, and yellow. Your guests will love taking these simple arrangements home to fondly remember your brunch.
